Deployment

Quick reference

  • Build the static site: npm run build, output goes to the build directory.
  • Deploy over SSH: USE_SSH=true npm run deploy.
  • Deploy without SSH: GIT_USER=<your GitHub username> npm run deploy.
  • Deploying is only relevant if you are using GitHub Pages for hosting; it builds the site and pushes to the gh-pages branch.

Local development​

npm run start

Starts a local development server and opens a browser window. Most changes are reflected live without restarting the server.

Build​

npm run build

Generates static content into the build directory. It can be served using any static content hosting service, not just GitHub Pages.
